Thrift with purpose.

Proceeds directly support Journey Home’s mission to end homelessness in the Capital Region of Connecticut.

Every vintage piece you take home helps make a home for someone else.

Our goal is to expand our ability to serve neighbors moving out of homelessness by continuing to provide donated furniture and household items at no cost.

Growing Journey Home’s operations with a thrift store helps ensure programs remain strong and sustainable, even in an uncertain funding climate.

What sets us apart is our intention—taking the time to truly understand needs and create thoughtful, purposeful solutions every step of the way.

Our store will do more than sell secondhand items.

It will be a circular economy hub that creates dignity and stability for families moving into new homes, reduces waste and environmental burden by giving pre-loved items a second (or third) life rather than sending them to landfills, provides new job and volunteer opportunities, and generates sustainable revenue to fund our community programs year-round.

Impact

At Journey Home, the work we do is often measured in quiet but powerful moments—like the first night a child sleeps in a real bed. When a family moves from uncertainty to stability, the details matter. A bed. Clean sheets. A sense of comfort and dignity. This note from a grateful client reminds us why we do what we do and why a furnished home can make all the difference.
